Designed by French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Palissade is a collection of outdoor furniture for HAY in powder coated or hot galvanised steel. United by a common principle of symmetrical geometry, the Palissade collection is engineered to reproduce the same visual simplicity and core strength throughout.
The Flowerpot, a vividly coloured lamp with a rounded pendant that hangs from the semi-domed upper shade, embodies the experimental attitude of Verner Panton. Slightly smaller in size than the table lamp version, and deliberately lightweight, the portable VP9 comes equipped with a USB charging cable.
The limited-edition Cult Tower designed by Adam Goodrum. Contemporary yet classic, this solid brass tower is comprised of a set of candle holders and salt & pepper shakers, assembled like building blocks to form a unique and striking tower.
Voting opens on Sunday 10th August, so stay tuned for more information and follow @bydesigntv for updates.

SEASON 6 PROJECT WINNER
The people have spoken! Congratulations to SEASCAPE for winning the CULT People’s Choice Award for season 6 of Australia ByDesign: Architecture!
Situated in the coastal town of Balnarring, Victoria, this family home embodies the environment and lifestyle of the Mornington Peninsula. Blending in with its bushy site, the home’s cladding references the Australian coastal vernacular and conveys a sense of familiarity with the Mornington Peninsula. Lysaght Custom Orb was applied to the external walls to the south and west – its Colorbond finish makes this cladding low-maintenance and able to withstand the winds and corrosive sea spray of the Victorian coast. Spotted gum timber cladding coats the external walls that are weather-protected by deep eaves, selected to soften the facade and provide a warmth that contrasts the tough corrugated steel.

The brief to design a contemporary family home was to reflect the clients’ love of mid-century modern architecture and to incorporate stone as a feature material.
Located in Coogee in Sydney, GB House stands as a resilient, robust beacon against its unyielding coastline.
This is a project for a young family of four. At its core it explores two themes - "identity" and "what is enough?".
