Chief Design Officer PepsiCo
Mauro joined PepsiCo in 2012 as its first Chief Design Officer. Mauro is infusing design thinking into PepsiCo’s culture and is leading a new approach to innovation by design that impacts the company’s product platforms and brands. His focus extends from physical to virtual expressions of the brands, including product, packaging, events, advertising, licensing, retail, architecture, and digital. Sustainability is one of his main goals as well as one of the company’s today. In the past 7 years with his design team, he has won more than 1,000 Design and Innovation awards. Lately, the company has been recognized by Fortune in its 2018 Driven By Design list, one of only two organizations from the Food & Beverage industry.
