La Selva Beach Library

The La Selva Beach Library renovation is a revitalization of a small, well loved, and dilapidated coastal library.
The library was transformed to maximize programmatic flexibility, reflect the character of the community, and serve as a beacon of civic pride. The small footprint belies the large impact of the library. As a critical community building, the small community library holds a significant place in America's history, reminiscent of the single-room Carnegie libraries in small towns nationwide. This project underscores the essential role of thriving neighborhood branches in fulfilling the mission of public libraries. The renewed La Selva Beach Library not only preserves but enhances its role as a vital hub for the community.
