Tim Turrini-Rochford

Industrial Design Director, Schneider Electric

Tim Turrini-Rochford is an internationally recognised design leader with innovative thinking and a desire to create products which redefine human experiences.

After working for a decade with design lead companies, including Dyson, Herman Miller and Samsung, Tim returned to South Australia to lead the Schneider Electric Pacific Design Lab in 2018 and now leads all design activities in the Asia Pacific region.

Tim’s design process places the consumer first, and always looks for opportunities to transform situations for a products users. Design, for Tim, cannot be skin deep but must express the underlying elements and the true nature of an object. This process ensures a solid platform for innovation that has been recognised with major design awards including numerous Red Dot and iF awards and patented inventions

Tim’s most recognisable product design is the Dyson Air Blade V hand-dryer, now a ubiquitous feature in public spaces globally. In Australia and New Zealand, the recently release Iconic Outdoor range Tim designed for the Clipsal brand has instantly become the standard for new Australian homes.
