CEO Future Acres

Suma is an entrepreneur, organizer and educator committed to centering innovation around justice. She’s currently CEO of Future Acres, an agricultural robotics company building sustainable, advanced and intelligent tools for farms, starting with Carry, an autonomous harvest companion that increases farmworker safety and production efficiency. She is a 3x Agriculture Tech + Climate Tech founder, has built and is active in inclusive tech communities (Women Who Hardware, Lesbians Who Tech, Republic), has been awarded the White House Champion of Change for her Asian & Pacific Islander LGBTQ+ advocacy work, is on the advisory board of Scale for ClimateTech and teaches Future of Food: Entrepreneurship as Activism at the NYC School of Visual Arts. She started her career at a microfinance startup in India, and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali. She is a graduate of The Wharton School (MBA), Flatiron School (iOS), General Assembly (UX Design), and University of Rochester (BA).
