AIA, NCARB, LEED Green Associate Architect III

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Joseph has called the Washington, DC region home for more than a decade since earning his Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. A dedicated alumnus, Joseph has nurtured his passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of architects through his roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Design Studio Lecturer.

As an Architect III in Perkins&Will’s Washington, DC studio, Joseph brings a calm, collaborative, and strategic approach to every project. His ability to mediate diverse perspectives ensures that teams stay focused on the big picture while fostering innovation and achieving functional success. For Joseph, success is layered—it’s about delighting users, exceeding client expectations, and achieving team goals, all while creating spaces that inspire.

Joseph’s leadership extends beyond the studio, contributing to the architectural community through his roles as a Director-at-Large for AIA DC, a member of AIA National’s Finance & Audit Committee, and a Design Review Board member for the City of Mount Rainier.
