Carlo Caccavale
Executive Director AIA Los Angeles
Carlo Caccavale was born in Italy and graduated cum laude in Languages and Communication from the University of Rome. After living in Paris and London, where he perfected his English, he moved to New York to study TV production, eventually returning to Italy to work with world-renowned director Dario Argento and later for the Italian TV network Mediaset.
Carlo later relocated to Los Angeles, where he transitioned into TV commercial production and internet marketing, while also writing several scripts and producing three short films. His passion for architecture and design led him to join the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles, which he has been leading since 2016, where he has been successfully implemented programs to promote social values such as equity, diversity, and inclusivity, and positioning the chapter at the forefront of sustainability and technology discussions.
As Executive Director, Carlo also founded Architecture for Communities Los Angeles to educate, inspire, and empower communities about the value of architecture, while opening pipelines for future professionals. Working with a mission is Carlo's personal mission.
