Anna Foden

Anna Foden has over 20 years’ experience in sustainability around the built environment across construction, design consultancy, and building product manufacturing spanning the USA, UK, Europe, and the Middle East.  After a B.S. in Architecture and a Masters of Real Estate Development from the University of Maryland and working in the D.C. area, she moved to London in 2011, where she became involved with the AIA UK.  Most recently, her professional roles have included Head of Sustainability in the construction sector in the UK at both ISG and Permasteelisa Group, focussing on a varied range of building typologies, including interior fitouts, high street retail, data centres, and tall buildings.  Anna's passion centres around driving sustainability around the circular economy, carbon reduction, and environmental management at a strategic company level, and is a firm believer that sustainability can be used as a platform to drive innovation, not just for regulatory compliance.  She has previously served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President, and is currently the Secretary of the AIA UK.
