Trinity Church Wall Street

2017 marked the beginning of a five-year rejuvenation of a historically significant 30,000 square foot church on Wall Street in New York City.
The iconic stone building, now surrounded by skyscrapers, is flanked by graveyards including early arrivals to the island and even one of our founding fathers. The complex project, completed in 2022, involved nearly all areas of the church, including the Vestry, Chapel, and other major parts of the church. Most of the structure was entirely gutted, updated, and the wood restored or rebuilt.
We restored or replaced interior and exterior doors; oak paneled rooms and ceilings; cabinetry; and trim. An acoustic room was renovated upstairs for small musical events and choir practice. We took care to select the wood species and finish that were respectful of the original woodwork, matching the existing historic old growth wood that is currently within the Church: the entire project was built out of quarter sawn, and rift cut White Oak.
As the various materials, finishes, and shop drawings were completed and approved, our team fabricated and finished all work in our shop. New hand carved details match the original church designs; while materials, finishes, fabrication techniques, and hardware integration brought the space up to modern standards for performance, security and heirloom quality. Our in-house installation crews fulfilled the complete scope of work and have remained in good contact with the Church, as other needs have arisen.
The project required close collaboration between engineers; the seasoned architects and construction professionals; and many skilled trades. We owe a sincere debt of gratitude to the parish, its leaders, the designers, the general contractor, and other talented trades and craftspeople who collaborated with us on this project. It was an honor to work with such a first-class team on this historic, thriving American landmark.
