Located at 249 E. 62nd Street, The Treadwell sits at the intersection of Midtown and the Upper East Side. Its design, both in façade and interior, draws from the architectural languages of both neighborhoods.

The building’s vertical core is framed by strong horizontal bands, evoking the residential Art Deco towers of Manhattan such as The Ardsley, The Majestic, and The Century. This "undecorated Deco" approach retains the formal structure of Art Deco but pares back ornamentation, resulting in a contemporary expression that feels modern yet warmly rooted in New York tradition.

The façade is clad in fluted terracotta panels, framed by bronze metal bands that lend an artisanal contrast to the precision of the metalwork. These vertically oriented terracotta panels define the central axis of the façade, where bronze ribbons trace the building’s height and curve at the roofline, emphasizing the tower’s vertical proportions. At the top, a full-floor penthouse sits at the intersection of these elements, offering a 360-degree experience that reflects the architectural clarity and urban context of the design.
