The Factory at Franklin

The Factory at Franklin is a 260,000 SF former cast iron stove factory with a long history of community investment that was saved from demolition in the late ‘90s.
With the recent change in ownership, a full-scale vision plan has been completed to create a destination in Franklin, TN, for the region.
A primary focus on indoor and outdoor connectivity drove every design element throughout the vision plan, complementing the recently-completed streetscaping connections to Downtown Franklin and anticipated connections with the imminent Factory District that will surround The Factory at Franklin.
Home to a diverse range of local and national food and beverage concepts, our Grand Hall and lush exterior green spaces offer a variety of dining experiences. An old exterior service way has been transformed into a vibrant alley with retail storefronts and pocket parks, adding to the charm.
Turner Theater, a state-of-the-art 350-seat performance venue, opened in October 2023 as the permanent home for the Studio Tenn Theatre Company.
More recently a new Carousel building was added to the campus, highlighting the exquisite hand carved animals by Ken Means, who for the last 30 years made these works of art right at the Factory.
The Factory is a unique mix of Historic Preservation and modern placemaking, extending its legacy within the community and providing a hub for people of all ages.
