As designers, we’re used to being the storytellers behind other people’s spaces — decoding their needs, shaping environments that speak to their culture, their vision, their brand.

But when TMA decided to make the Chrysler Building our new home, the script flipped. The client was us.

And suddenly, the familiar questions we often ask others came back to us with new weight:

• What is the role of the office now?
• Why come in, when the coffee shop is cozy and the commute is optional?
• How do you build a place that’s not just functional — but magnetic?

We knew we didn’t want an office.
We wanted a destination.

So we started where we always do: with purpose. This wasn’t going to be a sea of desks and white walls. We set out to design a space that feels — one that sparks creativity, encourages connection, and reflects who we are at our core. Not the industry-standard “architect’s office” filled with concrete and cool tones — but something warmer, more human, more us.

We asked ourselves: What if the office felt less like a workspace and more like a well-considered hospitality experience? What if it had the ease of home, the charm of a favorite boutique hotel, and the functionality of a top-tier creative studio?

So we flipped the script on the traditional office playbook. We broke the mold on materiality. We carved out places to gather, to recharge, to collaborate — intentionally designing for moments of both quiet focus and shared energy. The Chrysler Building, with all its legacy and grandeur, became the perfect canvas for a new kind of studio — one that balances history with innovation, structure with soul.

And at the heart of it all, we centered the people who make TMA what it is: our team. Because a space is only as powerful as the experience it offers. And we believe a great office doesn’t just support the work — it elevates it.

Welcome to our new home. We designed it with the same care, curiosity, and creativity we bring to every project — only this time, the story we were telling was our own.
