Douglas County High School Sports Complex — “The Claw”

Douglas County High School Sports Complex — “The Claw” — reimagines athletics as a catalyst for education, community and civic identity.
Built on the historic site of Douglas County's first high school, the new facility replaces a deteriorating field house and grandstand with a multifunctional complex incorporating coaches' offices, locker and weight rooms, classrooms, community spaces and an elevated viewing balcony. A new home grandstand adds approximately 3,500 seats alongside team rooms, concessions and a press box.
Four bold, faceted Tiger Blue forms frame the field and give The Claw its distinctive identity, creating an architectural symbol for a school and community looking toward its future.
