Owned by Sheila Johnson and managed by Salamander Collection, Salamander Middleburg is one of only five properties in the United States and 13 globally to hold separate Five-Star Ratings from the Forbes Travel Guide for its accommodations, dining and spa.

It also has achieved AAA's Five Diamond designation.

Opened in 2013 and a long-time vision of Johnson's, the 168-room resort is located on 340 picturesque acres in the storied village of Middleburg – the heart of Virginia’s famed horse and wine country – and is only 35 minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport.
