Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth

Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth has recently emerged from a thoughtful redesign that beautifully balances the line between timeless elegance and modern luxury.
The ship’s refreshed interiors draw heavily on Art Deco inspiration, with rich wood paneling, intricate mosaics, gleaming chandeliers, and cool marbles creating a refined atmosphere unique to this Cunard vessel.
The redesign was helmed by SMC Design, who were tasked with honoring Cunard’s illustrious heritage while crafting spaces that appeal to today’s discerning traveler. The creative vision was influenced by iconic women who have shaped Cunard’s legacy—Queen Elizabeth II, renowned for her grace and service; Nancy Cunard, the avant-garde heiress and activist; and Inger Klein Thorhauge, Cunard’s first female captain, who now commands the line’s newest ship, Queen Anne.
Guests will enjoy enhanced experiences across the ship’s signature venues. The Royal Court Theatre continues to dazzle with Broadway-caliber performances, while the Golden Lion Pub remains a cozy hub for British classics and trivia nights. The Grills Lounge and Terrace offer an elevated private enclave for suite guests, and the Commodore Club delivers panoramic views paired with expertly crafted cocktails. The Queens Room—ideal for afternoon tea and live music in the evenings— has been thoughtfully revitalized; and the Garden Lounge and Pavilion/Lido Pool Club feel even more inviting for relaxed socializing under the sun or stars.
